Access: Studio is open to the public during Open Studios and workshops. We do not have a retail space at the Pottery Studio yet. For now, visit the Rivertown Shop at the Arts Center to check out pottery for sale (hours on homepage).

Skill Levels:
Level 1: Clay Curious: First Time, Starting Something New
Two courses:Brand New to Clay: different types of clay, different stages of clay/drying, glazes/underpainting, cones, firing, studio safety, clean-up, etc. Make a pinch pot
First Time Wheel: Cone and Center Practice
Level 2: Early Beginner
Has taken both Level 1 workshops or has prior experience with clay
Ready for workshops on Slab Building, Coils, Pulling Walls on the Wheel, Trimming, and Simple Surface Decoration
Level 3: Confident Beginner
Has some experience in handbuilding and is able to cone, center, and pull walls on the pottery wheel
Ready for workshops on Even wall thickness, Lidded pieces, Combining techniques, Thoughtful glazing
Level 4: Intermediate/Advanced
Has developed a solid set of foundational skills
Ready for workshops on Building and Throwing Larger pieces, Designing and Executive More complex pieces, Developing Sets & Series, Glaze formulation
Eligible to apply to lead workshops at Rivertown Pottery as a skillsharer
