Rivertown Community Arts Center operates two studios in Fort Kent, Maine.
The Arts Center is located at 26 Market Street, Fort Kent (the former Whistle Stop Diner). A parking lot on the side of the building, near First Mile Brewing, is available for our use.
We currently have a Lounge, Shop (featuring made/created items from our members and a small selection of art and craft supplies), and a large Learning Space, plus access to art and craft supplies.
The Pottery Studio is located nearby at 78 East Market Street (directly across from McDonald’s). Street parking is available in front of the studio, and additional parking is available in the rear of the building.
The Pottery Studio hosts workshops and short courses, along with Open Studios, and is equipped with six Clay Boss pottery wheels, a Skutt 1227 electric kiln (Cone 8), a mini slab roller, and pottery tools. 24/7-ish access to the studios is available for Premium Clay Club members.
Rivertown is a membership-based community arts center, and some of our funding is from Membership fees. Click here to learn more about Memberships and sign up.
We are a nonprofit organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
We continue to gather information from families, community members, and groups about what they would like to see at a local community arts center. Please contact us with ideas about programs you’d love to attend, or if you have a skill that you’d like to share (and get paid to do so!).
If you would like to volunteer, please contact us to find out what roles we have available.
